Ancelotti's Problem

Ancelotti’s contract with Milan expires in
2010 and he will be released if Milan fail to finish in the top three this
season. “Ancelotti is the most sought-after Coach in the football
universe,” said the specialist in the Liga market. "He is wanted by Real
Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Roma." “There
is a great fondness between Ancelotti and Vice-President Adriano
Galliani. Because of this they will only decide what to do at the end of
May.” Ancelotti has won the Champions League twice and reached
three Finals, also lifting the Scudetto, Coppa Italia, Italian Super Cup,
two UEFA Super Cups and the 2007 Club World Cup. Real Madrid are
also very keen to bring in another Milan figure, Kaka, but Bronzetti does
not hold out much hope. “Real still don’t have a President, although what
I hear in Spain suggests Florentino Perez has it sealed up. He will
make three big splashes on the transfer market. His main dream is
Kaka, but it’s going to be very difficult to pry him away from Milan."

Kaka Wait for New Milan Era

Milan have long been criticised for their ageing team and even the
Ballon d’Or winner admits the time has come to make sweeping
changes. “We are reaching the end of an era and another will begin,” he
told Sky Italia television. “Perhaps this is an historic moment and the
time has come to renew this squad with so many players at the end of
their contracts and others who can come in. We can create a mix of
experienced players and youngsters who are very hungry for success.”
Among those packing their bags at the end of this season are Paolo
Maldini, Emerson, Giuseppe Favalli and possibly Nelson Dida. “I like
modern players who know how to attack and defend,” continued Kaka.
“If it were up to me then I’d sign someone like Gerrard, who I think is the
complete package. He can play anywhere, as a trequartista, deep
midfielder or on the right. I think he’d fit in very well at Milan.”

Galliani Rejects Kaka Rumours

Every morning I read some fantastical stories in the papers and some
of it is very amusing,” said Galliani. “The reality though, let us be clear,
is very different. The truth is there are no negotiations for the sale of
Ricardo Kaka. Seeing as we’re here, I may as well point out for future
reference that there are no talks for any other players under contract in
our squad either.” The newspapers in Spain and England have been

Gattuso Demands Reinforcement

Milan are down to the bare bones at the back after injuries to
Alessandro Nesta, Kakha Kaladze and Daniele Bonera. Paolo Maldini
is set to retire this summer and Milan are not expected to take up the
option to buy Philippe Senderos from Arsenal, making the defensive
line look even more threadbare. Although Milan have already signed
two young Brazilian defenders, Thiago Silva and Felipe Mattioni,
Gattuso is not yet satisfied. “Some reinforcements in defence will have
to arrive,” Gattuso said, before making a case for Senderos to stay at
Milan. “He is a good lad and I am happy that, on some occasions, he
has proved decisive,” Gattuso explained. “We have had seven big

this situation, not one has been excluded. The defence needs

Coach Jose Mourinho continues to hurl at Carlo Ancelotti. “I neither
